Half pint pours a very murky brown/black with some tan head. Nose is bitter, malt, cracker, black pepper. Flavor is the same, malty, chewy grain, bitter, black pepper. Soap and pine finally.

Keg at the Understudy, 14/06/19. Black with a decent lasting tan cap. Nose is mellow roast, ashen tones, dried red berries, cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises earthy roasted bite, charr, light pine tingle, dried fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close spiked with earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough CDA.

Keg at the other study. A clouded dark brown coloured pour with a a fine beige head. Aroma is nice piney hop, jammy pine needle. Palate is spicy, medium full, sticky resinous hop, moderate carbonation. Flavour is composed of bold piney bitterness, pine needles, jammy fruits, toasted malts, spicy Douglas fir,. Little bit of home brew quality to it.. Bold. Rough round the edges.
