Keg at the Three Johns, 18/12/18 as Camden Beer 2018. Golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is bready malts, vanilla, soft fruits, light bourbon rip, stewed fruits. Taste comprises candied fruit peel, pale malts, doughy bread, caramel, good bourbon splash, light vinous touch, dried fruits. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Nice work ... barrel boosty lager ... what's not to like.

Hazy gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, nice light creamy sweetness and well integrated barrel induced vanilla. Smooth bourbon, really smooth, fruity. A touch of woody bitterness. Wasn't expecting much from the delicate Mandarina hops after the barrel aging but there is some decent orange - mandarin marmalade here. Mild spice on the finish. I miss the complexity of previous years but this is a very nice bourbon delivery system. Nothing like a lager of course!

Bottle at beer zoo. Pours golden, nose is lemon, vanilla, marzipan, taste is sweet toffee, chewy, vanilla, fruity.
