16 oz can. Aroma is cinnamon, dark bread, coffee, vanilla, raisin, molasses, caramel. Pours very dark brown to black with a half finger tan head that falls into a ring quickly. Taste is moderately sweet and highly bitter (for style). Tastes a lot like a stroopwafel, but bitter.

Can. Black beer with a brown head. Chocolate and spice aroma. Chocolate and cinnamon flavor with brown sugar and light coffee. Medium bodied. Chocolate and cinnamon linger with coffee and brown sugar.

Black with a beige head. Big cinnamon notes with dark chocolate, molasses, caramel, sweet vanilla ice cream, and roasted coffee. Full bodied. Finish has a sweet berry note. I don’t see how this has anything to do with Stroopwafel.

Dark chocolate, raspberry nose. Black, medium beige head. Raspberry, espresso, dark chocolate, burned cookies, heavy char. Full body, easy carbonation, hot. Intense, boozy, toasty, caffeinated. Too much of all that.

On tap at AleSmith, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with maple syrup upfront, with light coffee and a touch of roast. Flavour is quite roasted, with maple syrup, burnt caramel and toffee. Quite sweet, with a burnt sugar finish. A bit harsh but it works.
