Named after the part of the hop plant used in brewing, our Cone gets rave reviews for its intense, complex hop profile: strong and bitter with lots of grapefruit notes. Its all-American hops are added at four different stages in the brewing process, as well as double dry hopping.
Hops: Simcoe, Amarillo and Palisade.

Cloudy orange beer with an off-white head and a resinous citrus smell. There was a lot of sediment which I decided to leave in the bottle. Flavour is bitter orange, earthy hops. A hearty, balanced beer.

Bottle from Valhallas Goat, Glasgow, Thursday 18th June 2015 consumed at home Sunday 21st June (Summer Solstice) Amber in colour with an off-white head, really hoppy with a lengthy bitterness, didn’t know anything about this brewery and didn’t bother checking out before buying, just liked the description and labelling, but it’s damn good, good in fact a much better beer than the very highly rated Epic Zombie that we have just had. Lots of citrus in here, fresh and fruity but good bitterness throughout, love it. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Cask-conditioned at the Sandford Park Alehouse, Cheltenham February 2015. Amber with a decent, off-white, head. Big hoppy aroma, with some slightly sweet malts, citrus fruits and a dry finish with touch of pine. Very good.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden amber and very lively which means a big fluffy head too. Nose - pine, mango and lime. Each individually distinguishable. Taste - pink grapefruit and resin, then the lime follows it through. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet drying texture and a long dry finish. Overall - brave to bottle condition but it’s paid off beautifully.

Bottle - Slight citrus and pithy hops. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Grapefruit and resinous bitterness. Long bitterness and pretty OK, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Leighton 10K tasting at Bruce’s pad. Salute to Paul. Hazy gold beer, very small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light, dry and a little crisp. Airy malt, light and fluffy and mildly sweet. Dry citric hops, strong bitterness ramping up. Finishes crisp and semi dry. Bitter bastard.
