Deep reddish amber with a tight tan head leaving some sparse lace. Medium caramel and big pine nose. Light sweet start and a medium bitter middle and long dry finish. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation. Nice pale ale with a nice malt base.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-brown color with a huge soapy tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was bitter, leafy, earthy and had moderate floral and fruity hops. The flavor was sour caramel, wood, tobacco, bitter fruity hops and undertones of leafy floral hops. Long caramel and hop finish. Medium body. Ok. The original recipe was much better.

12oz bottle. Filtered caramel, amber, copper body. Respectable enough off-white head. Classic quality NW piny hop bill. Clean, well executed malt background..the amber malt is there, but there is a toasty feel too. Not heavy or sticky despite the ABV. Really drinkable, certainly is a Red IPA.

Bottle. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Just about clear, reddy amber. Thin, messy, off white head. Stewed apple sweet, thick grapefruit, syrupy hop. Thick, toffee malts. Very heady. Taste is sweet, initially, then a pithy, oily bitterness rises, and lingers. Full body. Juicy, and oily. Finishes long, resinous, piny bitter. Very tasty. Sweet, hoppy, and juicy. Bit fusty, too. Love beers like this.

Barely any aroma, jstu clean and sterile. Surprisingly darker orange color. First taste is little detectable co2. Suddenly there is now this bo thing happening on the nose. Decent lacing. IPA thing keeps kicking. Nock me inthhe head, lingers for a while. not impressed. probably should be an impy ipa.

12 ounce bottle. Reddish copper with a large rocky beige head. Rich caramel malt nose with a bold resiny hop bouquet. Upfront their is a toasty caramel maltiness that gives way to the complex resiny hoppiness that exudes earthy buttery notes. Some warming alcohol in finish.

Good, but the older one was a little better I think. Too bad they discontinued it. Pours amber with good head and lacing. Hippy with trademark tinge of rust and a big malt backbone. Bitter finish. Soft carbonation. Bottle.

Custom Green Flash 12oz bottle, from out of an 8-pack box, pours with a crystal clear copper body that has thin gold edges and supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a mix of biscuit, roasted malts, a good pulse of pine hops and then thin layers of citrus and earthy tea like hoppiness. The taste has a big mix of sweet malts, a bit of roasted malts, some resiny pine hops and then grapefruit and tangelo like citrus hoppy bitterness. There’s thin rings of soft malt sweetened hop flavor near juiciness but those notes are fleeting. Another great tasty hoppy brew re-formulation.

Bottle. Pours a hazy reddish deep amber with a medium creamy off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma has lots of caramel, pine, a bit herbal and a touch of citrus. Flavor is medium sweet, lots of piney hops and some spiciness that almost seems like rye. Solid caramel backbone. Medium body. Interesting.
