Bottle at Oakes' Manor
Dark brown colour, near black. Dark malts, some cocoa, it's moderately sweet, with nice spirit character.
Not sure if it's an Old Ale, but it's a solid Imperial Stout.

Dark brown. On the nose, chocolate, toasted, and some dark fruitiness in there. On the palate it's a bit light, but does have some fullness in the finish. Good fruitiness, touch of dark sugars. Pretty good old ale, in the big sugary mode.

22oz @ Josh's place. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: some herbal notes, barrel, maybe a bit boozy. Taste: along the same lines, caramel, toffee. Overall: not bad.

22 oz. bottle, pours a murky deep dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of bourbon barrels, red fruits, booze, and caramel. Flavour is rather harsh and boozy, with lots of hot alcoholic bourbon, caramel, and toffee. Hot and alcoholic, with weak integration. Decent.
