GAMMAREDUX is the sequel to our beloved GAMMADELUXE, a collaboration we brewed with our good friends at Jester King Brewery. We couldn’t get enough of the first Sour IPA so we decided to switch up the hops and see what deliciousness might come forth. Receiving a massive dry hop addition of over 5lbs of hops per barrel of beer, this Sour IPA erupts with notes of juicy grapefruit, candied lemon, pine, and pink starburst. These flavors pair perfectly with its subtle dryness and our signature Jolly Pumpkin funk.

On tap at Jolly Pumpkin, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out bold bitter hops, wild yeast, and moderate funk. Flavour is quite bitter, with floral dry-hopping, wild yeast, and moderate funk. Wild and funky, with a very bitter hoppy overtone. Solid, albeit a bit harsh.

Opaque and yellow, with a medium head. On the nose, this bright, fruity with lychee and white wine. Sweet malts quickly give way to a rather deep, resinous bitterness. Grapefruit lingers, light tartness adds a dimension though I’m not sure the beer needed it. Decent stuff though, strong on execution even if the concept is less awesome.
