Poured from 473mL can. Cloudy orangey gold with white head. Tropical fruits, pineapple, citrus hops, touch of pine, bread malt backing, mild alcohol, good blend.

Cloudy gold with a rich white head. Lots of mango and citrus. Boozy and a bit of heat with a ton of citrus peel and some mango.

473mL can, pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma is nice and tropical, with tropical fruits, tangy citrus hops, and some chewy bready malt. Flavour is forceful, with lots of tropical fruits, citrus hops, piney and resinous hops, and alcohol. There seems to be more alcohol noticeable in this version than some others, but it's still at acceptable levels. The balance between hops and malt is great, and there is not too much yeastiness. Another excellent Head Banger variant.

Grazie mille Alex, for this Canuck/Yankee/Kiwi bastard. The usual hazy appearance and just a thin head. On the nose, of course there's alcohol up front, and a pack of fruit, a lot of it from the lychee/pear sort of NZ hop influence. Unfortunately also a little bit of acetone, too. The burly alcohol comes through a lot, but there's a good malt backbone to this, supporting the alcohol, the bitterness and the fairly strong fruit/honey hop note. Only the slightest touch of yeastiness, relative to most hazy stuff. Quality stuff.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Cloudy to murky, yellow colour with orange hue. Nice aroma, citrus peel, a touch of mango and pineapple. Bold mouthfeel as usual, with gentle sweetness; the malt base is a bit bready, not obstructive; the hopping is zesty and juicy, ending with a little pine, and mint.
Very good, I find it less vibrant than some previous version though, and possibly a bit more East-Coast-dirty too.
