Power tasting at Phill's, bottle
Amber-brown colour, hazy, with small head. Some aroma of dark malt and red wine. Good body strength, with moderate residual sweetness; there is some malt and caramel flavour, good but not very deep; mild wine barrel character; the alcohol defines the final.
Difficult to make a good Quad, and when you do it, that character can be easily muted by other elements, as it happens here. It's ok.

Dirty maroon with a small white head. Raisin and a touch of cherry. Raisin and a light toffee nite. Touch thin and simple.

22oz (thx, Max F.!) on Phill's deck. Appearance: hazy dark copper with a pale beige head. Aroma: wine, dark fruits, toffee. Taste: along the same lines with prominent plum jam notes. Overall: interesting.

22 oz. bottle, pours a dark dirty brown with a tiny beige head. Aroma is full of esters, with bubblegum, red wine barrel character, cotton candy, and booze. Flavour is quite prominent on the red wine notes, with a gentle tart red fruitiness, some esters, a little bubblegum, and a little booze. There's a bit of banana in there that I'm not fussed about. The red wine character is nice. Totally inauthentic, but it's fairly pleasant.

Light brown, and a bit murky. This is also quite fruity and boozy on the nose, with the red wine barrel character also showing. Soft body, kicks up some alcohol, and deep fruits - cherry, grapes, and plummy accents. That boozy accent rounds it out nicely, but it can be a bit clunky.
