Bottle, I think from Legacy. Beige sort of colour, not bright. The bottle gushed up a bit but it's also got a thin head. On the nose, bourbon and brett. The base beer isn't so exciting, it's the bugs and barrels I'm here for, and that's about what I'm getting, really. Moderate tartness, actually the finish is quite balanced. Good.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a large beige head. Aroma brings out lots of funk, rustic saison yeast, and lots of wood. Flavour reveals a nice wild yeast character, a bit of saison yeast, gentle tart citrus, stone fruits, and oak barrels. The wood from the barrels married well with the wild yeast; there's a fair bit of stone fruits on the finish. Complex and well-made. One of Townsite's best.
