Tasting at Phill's, bottle
Black colour. Roasted malt aroma, a bit phenolic. Good body strength, moderate sweetness, strong roasted malt character, a bit ashy, with moderate bourbon.
Quite good.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Black with small beige head. Good barrel on a below average stout. Chocolate, bourbon, soso.

Medium-brown, no head. Nutty aroma, little bit of toffee, promising. It's a bit thin, but a nice barrel character, like chocolate, and a hint of caramel. Nice barrel.

750ml @ Phill's. Appearance: dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: nice barrel with some berries and fruity character. Taste: align the same lines with a noticeable roasty and ashy character. ON the thin side for 10%. Overall: ok.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out earthy bourbon and a touch of roast. Flavour reveals a nice vanilla character from the Heaven Hill, but the base beer just isn't that complex. So you have a nice barrel character imparting itself on a not great base beer. Good effort.
