Lacking logic, caution, or restraint, Numbskull is a hard-hitting and intense Double IPA. To discover the most exceptional flavours, each new rotation is an experiment in hop lunacy. This 9th expedition unveils the Ekuanot hop: resinous, with layers of fresh citrus and grassy spice. Salute the voyagers returning, and revel in the good fortune they’ve escorted back to shore…

650mL bottle, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma is full of resinous hops, bitter pine, and sweet caramel malt. Flavour is sweet and bitter, with lots of piney hops, resinous hop oils, and semi-sweet caramel malt. There's a sort of spicy edge to this on the finish, while the palate maintains a really wonderful balance. Excellent.

Clear golden colour, medium sized compact head. The aroma is mild, it's bready and resinous. It's full bodied, moderately sweet but not sticky; big malt base, it's somehow caramelly and biscuity, nice toasted note, without being cloying; the hopping comes through mostly herbaceous, with bold bitterness.
Not really an ultramodern West Coast IIPA, but also not too much old style; it's so much better than the regular Numbskull tried not long ago. Very good.

650 ml bottle. Pours clear amber with light head. Aromas of pineapple, fruit gummies, piney hops, and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with emphasis on fruit and more pine. A little spicy. A little dank. Grassy finish. Very nice
