12oz bottle pours out amber cola color topped with a tan head. Nose is rich malts some leather bourbon barrel a little smoke and some earthy notes. Taste is more of the nice rich malts burnt toast leather smoke barrel.

Pours flat, dark brown. Aroma of alcohol, dates, tobacco, fairly strong barrel influence, even bringing heat into the finish. Big bodied finish, too, lots of sugars and dark fruits. I don't actually get much smoke. Solid work, more bw than old ale, but still, I like it.

Poured from 12 fl oz bottle. Hazed medium dark brown with very minimal off white head. Leather and tobacco with dark fruits and a bit of barrel quality. Really nice.

12 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown, maybe a bit of mahogany tinge in there, with a small off-white head. Nose is luscious and complex, with lots of whiskey barrel, smoked malt, leather, and tobacco. Flavour reveals a lot of the cherry wood, with moderate sweetness, bready toffee, leather, and a hint of smoke. All malt-driven, with a delicate barrel presence that aids the oily palate. Complex, balanced and integrated beautifully. Excellent.

12 oz waxed. 11.5% ABV. Aroma has notes of toffee, barrel, caramel, cashew brittle, vanilla, earth, whiskey, light raisin, light sherry. Pours root beer brown with an immediately collapsing beige head. Taste is highly sweet, a little savory, and lightly smoky with toffee sweet barrel-aged flavors. Soft carbonation and an oily mouthfeel. A pleasant fireside sipper.

Bottle from my cousin Mike. Thanks! Whiskey and nougat aroma. Cloudy brown, thin yellow head. Dates and figs. Full body, easy carbonation, boozy. All dark fruit and whiskey, but tasty.

04/12/19, I was afraid of the smoked part, expected thin and smokey like a rauchbier, but damn this is a delicious old ale. 12oz barrel aged beers hmu. 3 for 3 killer ba beers thanks Andy K. ! Sweet caramel whiskey syrup. Slight cherry smoke finish.

12oz bottle from ES shared with Andrey. Appearance: hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma: tons of bourbon, dark fruits notes. Taste: along the same lines with creamy notes from oak. Not sure where is the smoke, though, hehe. Overall: nice one.
