On tap at Portland Craft, pours a clear golden amber with a tiny white head. Aroma is tangy, with raspberry, some earthiness and maybe a hint of cocoa. Flavour blends the raspberry and cocoa characters pretty well together, with gently tart raspberry, earthy cocoa powder, and a gentle tanginess. Interesting blend of notes that works well together. Good stuff.

Poured from the tap. Hazy copper orange. Raspberry and chocolate flavour. Not bad.

Hazy pink colour, maybe a touch of chocolate to the colour or could be just the power of suggestion. Actually fairly hoppy on the nose, melding with the jammy raspberry notes. On the palate, it has a mild tartness, lots of bitterness, and yeah maybe that chocolate shows up there, too. The alcohol is surprising, but it definitely contributes to the perception of bitterness. Maybe that throws the balance off kilter, but I think this was designed to be a little off kilter.

Raspberry color with lasting thin head. Sweet and tart raspberry flavor with a quick bitter finish like unsweetened cocoa. Rich tasting.
