Hazy pale brown. Not much head. The rye barrels come through on the nose, with dried fruits, alcohol, soft vanilla, and mellow chocolate. Gentle, sweet, with lots of alcohol. There's a touch of cherry, and some dried fruits. Sugary sweet, nice raisiny stickiness in the finish.

12oz @ Sales Force. Appearance: murky dark copper with a weak beige head. Aroma: sweet, malty, definitely the rye spiciness, some bourbon, dark fruits. Taste: along the same lines, maybe some pleasant oxidization notes. Overall: very nice.

On tap at Skookum, pours a deep dark mahogany / burgundy / dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is intensely barrel-centric, with lots of bourbon barrels, brown sugar, vanilla and some earthy rye. Flavour is exquisitely complex, with an intense bourbon barrel character dominating, followed by loads of vanilla, dark dried fruits and caramel. Pretty impeccable depth to this. The barrel aging is stupendous. Lovely.
