Purplish colour and hazy. No head at all. Aroma is mostly fruity grapes, not especially distinctive -BUT - baco noir is a really cool grape that's half North American and is sometimes a bit smokey in wines. On the palate the baco noir shows up a lot, not smokey but with earthy complexity. The base here is light, maybe wheaty, medium acidity and mostly clean. There's tannins but I'm thinking grape skins. It's simple and would benefit from a more complex ferm on the base -brett c would especially be welcome here -but it's not bad at all. By the other ratings this might be getting past its prime so drink up if you have one.

Poured from 750mL bottle (lot #20-01-21). Hazy purple red with small pinki-ish head. Light dark berry, red wine must, some bugs and lacto, prefer it as it warms slightly.

750ml (thx, Alex M.!) @ SalesForce. Appearance: hazy purple with a white head. Aroma: funky, barrel, juicy, a bit woody. Taste: lots of bugs, very juicy, lots of grapes and funk. Overall: nice one.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque dark red with a small off-pink head. Aroma brings out grape pomace, light lacto and some bugginess. Flavour is lightly tart, with plenty of grape pomace, some dark berries, a little lacto, and some bugginess. Really nice grape character. Despite lacto being the only apparent yeast, there's a nice complexity to this. Excellent.
