What’s the good in being a ghost if you can’t brew people a good beer? This supernatural stout is loaded with scary coconut and terrifying vanilla… Just don’t say it’s name three times!

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark brown colour. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, maybe vanilla. It's smooth, delicate, more chocolate than roasted malts, no adjuncts detected. Good Stout

16oz @ Alex's. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, don't really feel any adjuncts here. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: this is a stout, yes. Are there adjuncts? No.

Coconut and vanilla, some roast. Decent balance. Oily and slick kind of consistency. Bittersweet finish. Vanilla kind of cloys. Can.

Poured from 473mL can. Very dark brown with tan head. Vanilla, mild coconut, touch of chocolate and dark fruit. Okay.

Dark brown. Thin head. Medium thickness, some sweet chocolate stuff. Light vanilla. A bit of coconut. How the fuck is this not a banana beer. Talk about a missed opportunity.

On tap at Steamworks - Mt Pleasant, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is quite fruity, with light vanilla, a touch of coconut and fruitiness. Flavour is quite fruity, with light vanilla, dark fruits, and subtle coconut. Fruity and vanilla-y, with not too much sweetness.

473 ml can. Pours a dark brown with full tan head. Aromas of dusty coconut and roasted malts. Flavors of vegetal coconut, soft vanilla, chocolate wafer and roasted malts. I guess a lite pastry stout…
