Sometimes simplicity is king. We wanted a saison in our repertoire that’s purely meant for refreshment on hot days, and after some deliberation and recipe development, Lottie was born.
Ultra lean, crisp, and rounded out with herbal and lightly fruity hop character, Lottie was inspired by our love for Italian Pilsners. The grist comprises Lyon Pilsner along with a dash of Baronesse English Pale and Vienna from the wonderful folks at LINC Malt, providing a bright and easy-drinking base. We then hopped with a healthy dose of Saaz from Crosby Hops and a handful of Perle from Yakima Chief for a fresh verdant component. Our house culture lends a light tartness and dry finish, making this the ideal warm weather beer (trust us, we’ve tested it)

1 pint can. Pours a dull hay color with lots of sediment and full head. Aromas of farmhouse, fruity Brett, candied lemon and wheat. Flavors follow same with sharper wheat and a bit of bitterness to finish.

16oz shared at Erik's place in Malmo. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: pretty nice farmhouse notes, a bit lemony. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: ok, but nothing special. Along the same lines with the rest I've had so far.

Poured from 473mL can. Hazy blonde gold with small white head. Rustic pils malt, touch of pepper, very feint brett, gentle hops. Okay.

On tap at Fair Isle, pours a clear golden with a medium foamy white head. Aroma is peppery and rustic upfront, with a nicely spiced hoppy character, rustic saison yeast and gentle bugs. Flavour is not quite as impressive but still brings a vibrant, spicy, peppery, rustic saison yeast character, with a touch of funk. Really nicely designed, with almost no residual sweetness and plenty of clean yeast expression on the finish. Lovely.

Blonde with slight haze. Thick head. Aroma has some pedio and a bit of brett. Fairly dry, crackery pale malts, light brett & pedio again, maybe more on that lean brett character.
