Barleywine aged in a Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel
Brewed with a double mash, boiled for 8 hours, and conditioned on a ludicrous amount of totasted coconut.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with not head and a few coconut floaters. Aromas of chocolate nougat, dark toffee, subtle coconut and slick roasted malts. Flavors of chocolate and coconut, like a Mounds bar, plus raisins, soft sweet bourbon, and oily roasted malts. Warm finish.

Dark brown, flat. The aroma has some coconut but is otherwise...odd...like a tomato note. I don't get that on the palate, though. I get alcohol, coconut, and a nice toffee-fruity barley wine base. It's certainly boozy, the barrel hitting hard, but that barrel also lends a little vanilla that melds with the coconut. So it ends up with some elements that really work and some (mostly the overt alcohol) that don't.

Bottle, Temporal Tasting
Dark amber colour, my glass ended up with a lot of ugly floaties. Aroma of coconut, and caramel. Strong body, moderately sweet, the coconut presence is strong, malt and caramel flavour, some meat and veggies broth; nutty finish.
Very good.

330ml shared with Ryan @ Alex's garage. Appearance: brown with a weakwhite head. Aroma: a regular meaty malty base with a coconut character that I don't really appreciate (same as in Structures). Taste: along the same lines, quite nice bourbon barrel here that's spoiled by the roasty bitterness and toasted coconut character that I don't really appreciate. Overall: ok.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Dark brown with very minimal beige head and touch of sediment. Fair bit of coconut (more so on the taste than the nose), bourbon barrel, toffee character. Decent, but prefer cosmic syzygy overall. Rounding up to 3.8, but more accurately, I would give it a 3.75.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with light coconut chunks and a tiny head. Nose is loaded with toasted coconut, bourbon barrels, toffee, and molasses. Flavour is full of toasted coconut galore, followed by toasted caramel, bourbon, and molasses. That's a lot of coconut -- damn. Maybe not the most complex, but it's damn nice.
