[notes] Poured from bottle @ FHF 2023 (Aug 12, 2023). Hazy purple with small pink head. Mild grape, apple, decent blend.

Purple and hazy, a bit butyric and the grapes are throwing off that character. There's tannins in there as well. Base is fine, but yeah, the grapes aren't helping.

A taster shared with Josh, Matt, Phill, and Ryan during FHF WITH priceless Rachel's help (got it back!) in organizing all the mess with glasses. Appearance: purple with a rose head. Aroma: funky, lots of grapes, juicy. Taste: same. Overall: very nice.

750mL bottle, pours a gorgeous dark mahogany with a quickly-dissipating pink head. Aroma is wonderfully funky, with musty grape skins, barnyard funk, and a touch of leather. Flavour is bone dry, with lots of red grape skins, lots of wine must, barnyard funk, and a touch of apple skins. Champagne-like effervescence finishes this off with an assertive but fitting carbonation. Maybe not as excellent as previous Grape Friends versions, but it's very tasty.
