This Experimental IPA is brewed with HBC 1019 and Citra Cryo. HCB 1019 is such a new experimental hop it doesn’t even have a name yet, but based on this test we expect it will in the future! We taste notes of the fuzziest peach fuzz, vanilla, and tangy orange.

Cloudy to murky yellow colour. The aroma is nice, it's juicy, stone fruit, a touch of tropical fruit. Lean, off-dry; a bit chalky, and so it's also quite astringent in the finish; watered down orange juice flavour.

Opaque, thin head. Okay what is this hop -lychee, semi-dried apricot, and then some random lemonene, random linalool. This 1019 is a damn nice hop. Soft body, light pale malt, low bitterness.

16oz @ Alex's. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: dank, juicy, tropical fruits, and some chalk, I suppose. Taste: along the same lines, quite refreshing. Overall: pretty good.

Poured from 473mL can. Hazy yellow with small white head. Mild melon and stonefruit, feint floral, with a touch of chalk, lightly juicy. Not getting anything offensive here, just a little bland is all. Could ramp up the hops on this one.

On tap at Superflux, pours an opaque chalky yellow with a small white head. Aroma is offensive and harsh, with paint thinner, perfume, and chalky — Jesus. Flavour is a little better, with juicy stone fruit, some perfumey notes and floral hops. Not too bad on the taste but that nose is dreadful. Okay.
