Our Tunnerman’s line of can-conditioned ales was born from a desire to help true brew aficionados experience the joy of sampling a real cask ale in the comfort of their own home.
Inspired by post WWI-era mild ales, this dark mild is brewed with flaked corn, a house-made invert sugar and a heritage German barley for an ale with notes of light chocolate, dark cherry and sweet bready malt.

Golden brown. Thick head. Toasty, light caramel, a bit juicy. Not my favourite malt character in a mild but it's not bad. Touch of butter in the finish, though.

On cask at Main Street, pours a clear dark amber with a medium beige head. Nose is mild, with light toasted nuts and crusty bready malt. Flavour is clean and mild, with gentle toasted nuts, crusty bread and a tiny hint of bitterness. Not much to this but there's not supposed to be. Clean and drinkable. Fine.
