  IPA - Cold Regular

Originating in Portland this new hybrid style aims to merge the hops of an IPA with the crispness of a lager. The use of rice in this brew contributes to its dry light body while the double dry hopping strengthens its bold hop character. Its short-lived and upfront bitterness balances with its crisp and very clean finish.

473 ml can. Pours a bright gold color with moderate head. Aromas of candied citrus, light pine, light pineapple and biscuity malts. Flavors follow same though a bit more malty and with some grass in the finish. Clean

Flight at brewery. Pours clear light gold. Aroma has strong pine and resin. Flavour is similar, with biscuity malts and toasted rice. Quite enjoyable.

Poured from the tap. Lightly hazed yellow gold with small white head. Crisp biscuit malt with grass hops and a bittering finish. Decent Cold IPA.

473mL can, pours a clear blonde with a medum white head. Aroma brings out a sort of unfermented wort character -- perhaps that's the rice? -- along with gentle grassy hops and a crisp biscuity malt base. Flavour is clean and crisp, with grassy, piney hops, straw, soft raw rice, and a crisp biscuity malt base. Clean, crisp, with a nice bite. Nothing incredible about the hop expression, but it's well-executed. Very serviceable.

Bright, pale yellow, thin head. Off-dry, touch of pale malt sweetness, lightly fruity hop. Medium bitterness. Really down the middle. Not all that expressive in any direction.
