Prepare your taste buds for a thrilling journey with our limited-edition release. This isn't just any beer; it's a liquid homage to the delightful morning ritual of savouring the perfect donut. At a whopping 10%, this brew is a symphony of toasty, biscuity, and dough-like goodness in every sip. Infused with Madagascar vanilla beans and a dash of toasted and untoasted coconut, it's a flavour explosion like no other. 🤤

And that's not all! We teamed up with the bean wizards @moduscoffee to roast some gorgeous Brazilian natural process coffee that imparts wonderful flavours of red berries, delicate baking spice, and brown butter. The result is nothing less than a truly decadent treat in a can. 🍩☕️🍺

Dark brown colour, with a somewhat thick head. The aroma shows mostly roast and vanilla. On the palate this is actually quite harsh. It's boozy as fuck, and that overpowers the coffee, which is also harsh. I remember the first espresso stout that Steamworks made, in the 90s I think, it had a fantastic coffee character. This is harsh. The alcohol drowns out pretty much everything else, too. I mean, look, we've all had coffee, donuts and a block-rockin' hangover, probably at voodoo donuts the morning after shutting down Apex with a full pour of 2am barley wine. But that's not necessarily the vibe I want, in world where Bottle Logic and Modern Times exist. Just too sloppy and unreasonable.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark brown colour, brown head, compact. Aroma of caramel, fudge. The best quality is that it's smooth; the sweetness is mild; some nice coffee seems to be the most evident flavour, with hints of vanilla and cream (the coconut maybe, but very faint). Mmm, not much a pastry IS, but I like it.

16oz @ Alex's becoming a former house. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: dark malts, some sweetness, a bit of fruity notes. Taste: along the same lines, a bit on the thin side. Overall: it's fine.

Poured from 473mL can. Very dark brown with small beige head. Mild coffee and vanilla, a feint hint of red berry acidity likely from the coffee, decent flavour, but a bit thin. Okay.

473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of chocolate and sugar with a little roasted malts. Flavors of plastic, green coconut, stale coffee, sugar, and roasted malts. Warm finish with roasted malts predominating. Lots of different ingredients with great potential, but not coming together for me.

473mL can, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out earthy coffee, a hint of coconut, and vanilla. Flavour reveals plenty of roasted coffee upfront, accentuated by vanilla bean and, to a lesser extent, some coconut. Lots of coffee coming through on the finish, with medium-high sweetness, and just subtle accentuation from the vanilla and coconut. Hearty palate. I was turned off by the beer name, but this is really just a solid imperial coffee stout.
