Brewed with a special blend of Belgian yeast strains propagated by our pals at Beirm Bio, this unique and flavourful dark strong is built on the backbone of several European malts as well as turbinado sugar. Slightly sweet, pleasantly tart, with rich dark fruit flavours present in a deep caramel brew, popping with a spicy nose.

473mL can, pours a deep dark amber with a beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of dark sugars, Belgian yeast, toffee, and bready malt. Flavour has some tartness, with sour dark fruits, dark sugars, toffee, and bready malt. There's too much tartness, not much malty depth, and not particularly a Belgian yeast expression. Not terrible, but this must be a bit infected.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark brown colour. Vague aroma of dark fruits. The body is ok, there is some mild residual sweetness; lightly bready, dark sugar, and mild dark fruits, mild tartness; low bitterness, just some slight astringency in the finish. No malt depth.
Since fruits or berries are not mentioned, I'm going to assume that there's an infection here; drinkable, but modest.

473 ml can. Pours a dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruit and berries, and bready malts. Flavors follow same with a little candi sugar sweetness and berry tartness. Not very complex and too sweet for a Belgian but very nice.
