Rye WC IPA

Desert Equinox is a west coast style IPA brewed with local rye malt for a bigger body and a subtle rye spice character. We always enjoy trying new hop products and this time we used Freestyle Hops Nelson SubZero Hop Kief™. This flowable hop product allows us to pack even more flavor and aroma into our IPAs. This beer has a slightly bigger body, but is still a crisp and refreshing West Coast IPA.

On tap at Roses by the Stairs, pours a clear bronze with a small white head. Aroma is dominated by the spicy rye, followed by plenty of piney hops. Flavour has a unique hop expression: quite lemony, somewhat melony, also piney and tangy. The rye complements this nicely, though the rye seems like punchy than the aroma suggested. Very good.

Gold, thin head. Nice rye accent, blackcurrant, lemon, pine, that's quite the hop character - it's nelson kief, mosaic and centennial. Well balanced malts, which always elevates an IPA.
