Poured from 500mL bottle. Hazy blonde gold with small white head. Pineapple, a bit acidic, okay.

500mL bottle, pours a bright hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out wild yeast, faded pineapple, and a touch of oak. Flavour is very juicy and big on the enamel-stripping acidity, with juicy faded pineapple, loads of acidity, and a touch of bugs. Way too acidic, not enough depth. Bleh... not very pleasing.

Slight haze, the aroma is sour pineapple type stuff. On the palate, it's tart, slightly sharp, with a bit of underripe pineapple to it. Comes across simple, not a lot of complexity from mixed ferm or barrels.

(500ml 2019 bottle from the brewery bottleshop) Pours nearly clear gold with a decent white head showing good retention and lace. Aroma is lots of fresh slightly funky pineapple dancing on the edge of ripeness, soft lemon yogurt lactic undertones, moderate wood, some slight wet cellar Brett profile, mostly about the fruit though. Flavour is moderate plus tart and again quite fresh pineapple-forward, just ripe and with a good lactic bite and some lemon juice, light to moderate wood giving drydown and structure, funk is very restrained, finish is lightly tart and quite fresh pineapple-dominated with an aftertaste of pineapple citrus fruit bowl. Light bodied, soft bottle conditioned carbonation. Solid beer, pineapple is really prominent but the fresh fruit character is really fun. Not the most complex mixed ferm profile but it works as a backbone.
