Fort George knows stouts. We’ve made hundreds of stouts. We’ve tasted thousands of stouts. We’ve perfected dozens of stouts. But we’ve only canned a few stouts. Last year we worked with Ex Novo to brew a stout worthy of both of our reputations. As Dystopian Morning Light breaks over the rim of your glass, you’ll find dark cherry and a blazing, almost savory roast with little spicy hints of barrel char and whiskey. So silky. So smooth. Dystopian Morning Light was brewed to honor the darkest month, aged for 10 months in Willett Whiskey and Stagg Jr Bourbon barrels, and canned in 12oz 4-packs.

Hops: Nugget, Saaz
Malts: Great Western Premium 2Row, Marris Otter, Weyermann Dark Munich, Simpsons Caramel, Pale Chocolate, Breiss Roasted Barley, Chocolate
Yeast: Juice

Black colour. It has a fruity molasses aroma that I associate with Cambodian stout. If you ever rode a shitty rental bike from Siem Reap to Ankgor Wat at dawn feeling crusty as fuck after overindulging on Black Panther Stout and happy pizza, you know what I mean. Stout de Cambodge is etched into your soul. Thick body, vanilla and lactose sort of thing. Mellow bourbon, sort of rounds it out.

12oz @ Ryan's after another freaking crazy weekend 🤪 Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: American oak, chocolate, smooth, Taste: moderately sweet, a bit boozy, American oak, quite nice charred barrel character. Overall: good one, but it's not worth the price IMHO.

Poured from 355mL can. Black with small beige head. Dark fruits, mild dark chocolate notes, some charred barrel, good balance. Quite nice.

12 oz. can, pours jet black with a small tan head. Nose is decadent, with lots of bourbon barrels, cocoa nibs, dark sugars, and moderate roast. Flavour is extremely rich and complex, with lots of dark sugars, big bourbon barrels, moderate roast, and dark cocoa nibs. Really rich, complex and decadent. Excellent.
