[Blend 2] On tap at Threefold. Pours a very dark brown with minimal head. Big tonka beans up front with lovely notes of bourbon, coffee, bread crusts, and dark sugars. Flavour is very complex with lots of coffee, vanilla bean, bourbon, bready malts, thick dark sugars. Very well integrated. This is fantastic.

Dark brown, with just a thin head. The aroma is a lot of tonka beans, smooth medjool goodness, light coffee. Lots of complexity. On the palate, this shows a touch of acidity that slices through medium sugars. The tonka is an accent on the palate, but actually benefits from a richer sugar profile (as on the nose). Only a bit of coffee, slight nuttiness. What I like is this - it's got a great profile, and every note is clear. That acidity...it's not wrong but it's not my preference and of course I don't really know how intended it is or if I should have opened this a few months ago.

Poured from bottle @ Black Xmas. Dark brown with minimal beige head. Coffee, vanilla, I feel like the adjuncts do a disservice to the Munich wine here. Okay.

330ml @ Black Christmas 2023 at Heritage Hall. Appearance: brown, no head. Aroma: some wooden spice, sweetness. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: good.

355mL bottle at The Magnet, pours a deep dark mahogany with a tiny head. Aroma is loaded with tonka beans and coffee upfront, with bourbon barrels to round it off. Flavour is very rich, with intense coffee and bourbon barrel, with a touch of tonka beans to accentuate. Cohesive and rich. Very good.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with no head. Aromas of chocolate nougat, tonka/vanilla, cinnamon and as slick roasted malts. Flavors of bitter chocolate, a little nougat, dried tonka, oaky rye, and roasted malts. Hot finish.
