English style brown ale
Column of Dust was brewed using English Marris Otter malt along with a selection of crystal and chocolate malts. Hopped in the kettle with East Kent Goldings, and fermented with one of our favorite English ale yeast.

On tap at the brewery. Brown with beige head. Malty, bit bready, some nuts, cocoa, pleasant bitterness in finish. Medium bodied.

Looks murky brown, fairly thick head. Nutty aroma, but simple. Dry and dusty.

On tap at Holy Mountain - Phinney, pours a deep dark rusted reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, toasted nuts, and some nice bitterness. Flavour is robust for the style, with toasted malt, even some roast, bready malt, and light bitterness. Roasty and dry. Much more interesting than your average English brown. Very good.
