Cask, half-pint at Silk Mill Cider & Ale House. Crocheted lacing from a bubbly fawn-coloured head. Jet black in body appearance. Smell of roasted malts, moments of coffee. Burnt dark malty flavours, hints of coffee and dark leaves. Nicely roasted bitterness to the finish. Pleasant (Derby 21.02.2016).

Hand-pulled half-pint at the Chesterfield Ale House on 20th Nov 2014. Poured a clear dark brown, on top a weak but lasting tanned head. Dry roasted maltiness rules the brew, the nose has maltiness all over it, as does the flavour. Mild bitter chocolate notes within the dryness, some dark fruit hints in there as well. I took to this, my last beer of the session.
