Single wort 5-grain saison

Transversal was brewed with several types of malted barley, triticale (a wheat/rye hybrid), spelt, wheat, and oats. It is hopped with czech saaz, as well as some aged styrian flowers and some other old world german varietals. We also blended our “grails” culture with a separate wild saccharomyces strain cultivated by a friend.

Bottle, at Matt's
Hazy blond colour. The aroma is a bit funky, bugs. Soft mouthfeel, not too dry, well carbonated; light base, mild acidity, interesting wild yeasts, finishing drier; good degree of complexity.
Excellent.

Hazy, thin head. The aroma has a touch of brett, with a light stone fruit accent, light hop, mellow sweet malt base. Good solid saison.

750mL bottle. Pours murky yellow with foamy white head. Aroma is funky with bugs and grainy notes coming through. Flavour is bright; slightly acetic, light grains, a bit buggy; generally pretty rustic. Really nice.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has a nice melange of bugs, toasted grains, and a hint of spiciness. Flavour has a decent rustic saison yeast character, light bugs, and toasted grains. Rustic, toasty and grainy. Not as complex as some other Floodland beers, but very solid.

Bottle thanks to Peter. Pours golden with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, floral, wood. Medium body, oak, yeast, nice tartness, enjoyed this.
