We recently teamed up with Mysterlee Brewing Co, our like-minded friends from across the Pacific, to bring you a blended sour ale that uses one of Korea’s most enigmatic fruits, the omija berry (오미자). Revel in the fusion of five distinct fragrant flavours: sweet, salty, sour, spicy, and bitter.

Delightfully sweet, tangy, and refreshingly tart, Take 5 is a blend of mixed culture barrel beers, and dried omija. Take your tastebuds for a ride while you discover the multi-dimensional delights of this delectable Sour Ale!

473 ml can. Pours amber with light head. Aromas of quince, earthy tart berries and sharp toasted malts. Flavors of sour berry candies, quince and biscuity malts. Interesting

473mL can, pours a clear bright golden with a white head. Aroma reveals a complex red berry character, with a nice wild yeast character and gentle tartness. Flavour is bright, with that exotic berry character upfront, gentle twrtneee, and some of the wild bugs poking through subtly. Not particularly complex but several steps above a fruited kettle sour. Quite pleasant.

Dullish pale, medium head. It's got a nice fruitiness, seems like it'll be fairly tart, a bit wild, and it's like that on the palate. Decent berry/fruit character, some wildness and tartness. Good balance.
