This extra special bitter is an English-style pale ale with just the right about of hops, including BC-grown Crystal and Comet varietals. Not too bitter but enough to keep a wolverine coming back for more.

Hazy amber, beige head. Light malt nose. Very light malt fore, neutral mid.
The medium bitter finish arrives so late it makes this seem unbalanced. Good lacing.

Hazy amber. Not sure why it's hazy, doesn't look great. Thin head. Fruity, aroma. On the palate, creamy texture, light biscuity malt, and some yeasty fruitiness. The bitterness is gentle, balanced. The hop character is mild, woodsy. Overall, well-balanced, and picks up on some of the nuance you want from an English-style ale. Seems to me like they did a pretty good job considering what they were going for here.

473mL can, pours a clear bright golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma has a nice English malt character, with dry toasted caramel, and very light hopping. Flavour is much the same, with toasted bready malt, toasted caramel, and some nice bittering hops. Nicely bitter, balanced well. Its good.
