It has been 25 years since Rudy’s Barbershop opened its first shop in Seattle. What better way for this iconic Seattle company to celebrate than to team up with a favorite Seattle brewery, Reuben’s Brews, to create an anniversary beer? The result of this distinctive collaboration is the quite sessionable “Good Hair Day,” a hoppy pale ale with bright notes of orange and grapefruit, supported by restrained bitterness. A portion of the proceeds from the beer will be donated to Equal Rights Washington and its work supporting the LGBTQ community.

Can. Light gold. Bright. No head. Earthy-citrusy hop nose, with a light pale malt. Mild bitterness. Light grapefruit and vaguely spicy hop nose. Fits the golden ale mold, and not bad.

On tap at Reuben's, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out mineraly, seltzery notes, with toasted biscuity malt and crisp piney hops. Flavour brings out fresh vibrant hops and crisp crackery malt. Crisp and fresh. Very good.

16 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. A clean and clear pale golden pour, a bit oily, an active fizz head. Aroma is a bit of a pils reminder for me. Some straw, and some grassy hops. A very light, sessionable feel to this pale, a good amount of hop quality. Low bitter, clean and crisp finish. An overall refreshing offering. Enjoyed this.
