We have awoken the King! A long slumber in bourbon barrels transformed our luxurious Imperial Sweet Stout. Expect aromas of cherry, caramel and dates. Enjoy flavorful notes of semi-sweet chocolate, black currants, meringue and oak. Full bodied and decadent, enjoy now or carefully age for later.

Bottle (3/23/18) from Valley Beverage, Sherman Oaks. Opaque dark brown, ring of head, light viscosity, trace lacing. Aroma is bourbon, oak, light cherry, mild caramel. Taste is strong malt-somewhat earthy/peaty--oak, caramel, light cherry. Smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Getting a lot of stuff, with good balance, here but lactose isn't really one of the things. Also, no alcohol. Held up quite well and am psyched to be able to try the brewery!

22 oz bottle shared by tfontana. Thank you! Date : Mar-23- 2018. Aroma is soft roast, mild bourbon soft chocolate. Flavor follows with a medium body maybe a tad thin. I don’t know what it was like fresh, but it certainly has held up.

Bottle, actually 2019. Pours opaque black, small tan head, good lacing. Aroma is mocha, fudge. Cherries, bourbon, vanilla. Flavor is medium plus sweet, light plus bitter, rich but not crazy. Full body. Lingering bitterness. Note bade.
