This 10th anniversary iteration of Wachu Saison was conditioned in wine barrels for 15 months. This collaboration was first brewed in 2011 and reunites Shaun E. Hill and Ryan Witter-Merithew. Familiar ingredients, fresh context, and a new stage provide the elements for a comforting renewal of friendship and a decade of reflection.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong peppercorn, citrus, yeast, oak. Slick body, lemon balm, peppercorn, wood, mineral, vinous, very nice.

Bottle at home in Salisbury - picked up from HF. Pours clear yellow with a modest, frothy white head. Lightly sweet, fairly acidic, some citric twang, subtle wine, hay, light funk. Light to medium bodied with delicate carbonation. Tart finish, more lemon, funk. Solid.

Bottle, thanks Vin! Pours clear golden, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is hill bugs, oak, chardonnay, lemon, yuzu. Flavor is light plus tart, light yogurt funk that grows with time and takes on a fungal note, oaky lemony. Light body.
