Tap@London Beer Lab, Brixton, London - Black pour with beige head. Sweet and light roasted malty with some cocoa and caramel notes, hoppy backing, medium body, dark malty close.

Keg at the Lab, 13/10/17. Light black topped with a decent tan swirl. Nose is roast malts, burnt toffee, charr, dried fruits. Taste comprises raisins, fruit cake, roast malt, dark chocolate, charr, earthy, burnt brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light scorch. Ok.

Keg at the LBL. Pours clear, rich brown with a small, creamy beige head. Moderate ashy roast in the nose, some dried berries, hints ofcocoa. Light-medium sweet flavour with some ashy bitterness, woody dryness, leathery berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry and ashy in the finish, with more dried, leathery berries, background cocoa and burnt toast. Fair.
