(650ml bottle shared @ Himmeriget, Dec 16/17) Cheers Inbreak and Bo! Pours inky black with a small dark tan head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma is quite full, notes of molasses, dark chocolate, figs and other dark fruit, fortified wine, soft maple, bourbon, vanilla, a little wood, quite subtle spicebox and pepper, softly roasted. Flavour is again full and rich, especially as it warms and airs. Core of dark malts with smooth dark chocolate, light sweet coffee, molasses and soft maple, fortified wine and dried fruit, vanilla, softly nutty roast, oak, tobacco, lightly spiced, bare hint of chili pepper. Fairly sweet with a rather dry finish. Rather full oily body, fairly soft carb, kiss of booze. Man, this is a fantastic version of a solid base, the 2 barrel treatment worked beautifully with it. The adjuncts are all kept in their place.
