Bottle. Color: Black, very thin, fast disappearing thin brown head. Aroma: Dark roasted malt, liquorice notes, Rum notes. Taste: Roasted malt, molasses, sweetish and lightly fruity and coconut Rum notes, notes of oak wood and some liquorice. Over moderate sweet and bitter. Full malty body, below average carbonation. Subtle boozy notes and some dark chocolate at the finish. Very nice slow sipper.

On tap at The Beer Temple, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is complex, with lots of rum barrels, dark sugar, and caramel malt. Flavour is rich and complex, with lots of rum barrels, dark sugar, gentle roast, and some caramel. Wonderful rum character that coheres well with the dark sugars and big malty body. Excellent.
