Str8 Flexin’ - Weighing in at a huge 11.3% ABV, we took our base Str8 Flexin' and tossed it into Heaven Hills Bourbon Barrels, then laid it to rest for 10 months. The carb was kept intentionally low, leaving the mouthfeel silky and rich. Huge aromas of chocolate fudge on the nose, balanced by roasted espresso and vanilla flavours to round out the palate. Keep this one in the cellar, or drink it fresh to experience as much barrel character as possible.

Black, not much head. The aroma is refined, but lacks subtlety. The Necrophagist of imperial stouts, if you will. It's a rich dark malt two-step with burly barrel. Molasses, sticky toffee pudding, and aggressively boozy Heaven Hill. And this is 2 years post-release. Excellent. The malt base brings big body, sticky complex dark sugars, and even though the barrel kind of bulldozes everything, it does so in a way that you are perfectly happy experiencing.

355mL can, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of smoky bourbon barrels, medium roast, a hint of cocoa, and tobacco. Flavour is rich as hell, with loads of deep bourbon barrels, some smokiness, tobacco, cocoa, and medium roast. Real nice bourbon barrel expression. Excellent.

Poured from 355mL can. Near black with tan head. Bourbon, mild chocolate malt with some dark fruit notes. Still seems a little bit boozy despite it's age (as compared to other Str8 Flexin' - based on my notes at least).

Dark brown colour, near black, almost no head. First comes the smell of alcohol, followed by petrol, roasted malts, Bourbon. Good body; flavour of dark caramel, dark sugars, spirit, evident Bourbon. Quite hot and aggressive, I like the base Ste8 Flexin', this one is suitable for Bourbon Barrel lovers.

12oz @ Alex's. Appearance: very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: lots of bourbon, booze, some chocolate, and vanilla. Taste: very sweet, lots of dark fruits, bourbon. Overall: pretty good, moderately thick and boozy, moderately to highly sweet.
