Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2014, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Hop Kettle North Wall Bitter ].ABV: 4.2%. Clear medium to dark brown amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, caramel - roasted - toasted, nutty notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. From cask. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish. Roasted, mild acidic. Bitter and slight herbal. Hard roasted breadish dark malty. Lasting dry, acidic and roasted.

Cask @ GBBF 2014. Pours a dark amber color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with bitter hints. Fruity malty bitter caramel finish.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, residual pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Light dry malts with a little unsweet toffee. Bitterish dried fruits and floral flavours. Dry finish. Standard stuff but clean.

Cask (Lamb & Flag, Oxford) - Dark brown with some orangey tinges. Nuts, and dried fruit are in the aroma whilst the taste is fruity and nutty with notes of almonds and carmael. The finish is quite dry.

Sampled @ GBBF. Clear autumnal amber to red-brown color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, bitter, nuts, a slight hint of chocolate. Average body and carbonation.

Cask at the 2014 GBBF. Amber red colour with a halo of off white head. Aroma is subdued, nutty and raisin with English yeast esters. Flavour is nutty, raisin, medium sweet caramel. Medium sweet palate low carbonation. Fairly standard fare.
