16oz can pours a nearly opaque deep brown with some Grey head that faded and some light legs. Nose has dark malts, caramel, coffee, roasted nuts. Really nice and inviting. Flavor is great and the malt is absolutely the backbone that everything comes off of. Full bodied, nearly dry finish. Crazy easy to drink. 8 3 8 5 15

Poured from 473mL can. Murky dark brown with very minimal light beige head. Coffee forward, slightly thin, feint chicory and vanilla. Okay.

Dark brown, no head. Looks kind of fudgey. Lots of coffee on the nose. On the palate, the roast chicory comes through a touch, again a lot of coffee. The base beer isn't all that profound, a bit fudgey sort of sweet but not complex.

16oz @ Phill's. Appearance: brown with almost no head. Aroma: cold coffee, some ashes and dust, a bit of sweetness. Taste: along the same lines, somewhat aggressive and abrasive. Overall: oh well, not really good.

16 oz. can, pours a dirty dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is full of chicory, medium roast coffee, and some earthiness. Flavour is full of chicory, medium roasted coffee, and a thin toasted malt palate. A bit too herbal/vegetal, with a very thin palate. Finishes thin and a bit jagged. Leaves quite a bit to be desired.
