A New England Double IPA with Mosaic, Citra and HBC 472, better known under the name of HBC 472.
Inspired by dramatic story of identical triplets adopted by three separate families unaware of each other before they turned 19. Heroes and victims of an undisclosed ‘nature versus nurture’ twin study – unlike this set of three beers which are also monozygotic in every detail except one final hopping.

Can sourced from Beer Republic and shared at home (12/06/2020) - hazed up yellow with a white head. Sweet fruity taste is ok but strange kind of artificial boiled sweet notes on the nose, semi juicy fruity, medium body, again really sweet and just not coming together for me. Disappointing. --- Beer merged from original tick of Three Identical Strangers HBC 472 on 26 Mar 2025 at 12:29 - Score: 6. Can. Hazy yellowish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth sweetish malts. Another slightly odd ball hop profile here. Not as weird as the banana Sabro affair, but here we have a kind of perfumery candy fruit thing going on with a mild tangy citrus alongside. The overall result is quite sweet and quite drinkable but I'd be pretty surprised if this was what the brewers intended.

Hoppy and fruity, pretty sweet with some vanilla and citrus prominent. Soft and smooth. Nice.

Ook weer suikerzoet. Ik ben totaal geen fan van die af brew hopjes. Ik heb het restant gewoon weggeflikkerd

Can shared at tasting. Unclear, ugly murky pale yellow color. Bleh, fucking ugly. Aroma and flavor are lightly malts, very hoppy, quite sweet though. Alright.
