Bottle courtesy of Geraint and Helen (cheers you two) consumed at home Friday 21st August 2015 Pours almost black in colour a little murky, light beige head and rim. Burnt toffee on nose, bitter with an overwhelmingly sweet burnt toffeeness, there is a burnt frying pan. oily fried bits type flavour. Still it is better than my write up suggests, thick in mouth some of the oily hoppiness comes through. It’s fine. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2

(Bottle, 0.33. l, at laiti’s, 20150613, thanks) The beer poured very dark brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had sweetness and liquorice, Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, liquorice, burnt malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A messy brew.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 12/2016
Pours no head. Aroma is rather mild with roasty tones and coffee. Flavour has rubbery tones, herbal tones, some bitter coffee and licorice. Finishes with minerals, herbal tones and some licorice root. No CO2 on palate. Well, now I understand why this has so low ratings. Perhaps this could work with some CO2 added but it wouldn’t be great with it either.

Pours dark brown with no head. Aroma of earthy notes, syrup, hints of licorice, roastiness and off notes. Taste is sweetish, earthy and a bit stuffy with some licorice and mild off flavors. Finish is sweet, stuffy and heavy with hints of licorice and mild roastiness. Feels more like an American Strong Ale.

Ingen god representant for stilen.
