Nach dem Mälzungsvorgang wird das Malz auf der Darre getrocknet.
Durch den Räuchervorgang während dieses Schrittes nimmt das Malz die Aromen und den Geschmack des rauchenden Buchenholzes auf und verleiht so diesen interessanten Charakter.
Nach unserer Rezeptur verwenden wir 40% dieses Malzes.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, deep golden with an off-white head. Distinct, greasy Bamberg smoke in the nose. Medium body, an underlying clean, crispy and lightly sweet maltiness - and then this distinct greasy smoke all over. Subtle bitterness. Drinkable, but I would much rather have the same beer without the smoked malt. 300821

A mild rauchbier, but very clean and crisp. The smoke is perfectly present. And a good smoke it is. Edeka hamburg

Cloudy deep golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma light smoke and roast, grain, sweet malt, some bacon. Taste medium sweet and light, malty, smoky, caramel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, sweet aftertaste, sugary notes. Light weight rauchbier, nice.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Mildly smoky and fruity aroma, hints of apple and a touch of wood ashes.Taste is smoky and minimally fruity, hints of apple, a touch of smoked eel. Nice.

Sample from 33 cl bottle. Clear golden colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with ham, smoke, pale malts and earthy notes. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied. Sweet finish with smoked ham.

Bottle@Jespers - Golden pour with off white head. Light smoked malty with some slight citrus fruity accents, some charred grass, singed straw, light sweet caramel notes, light to medium body, light smoked and hoppy finish.
