Draught @ Ølhus København as ”Rhum Belgo”. Rated on 11.12.2014
Sweet aroma with lots of raisins and some alcohol – feels like an aged Belgian ale. Flavour has alcohol, some hayish tones, orange and apricot. Also some toasted sugar. Too floury and too much alcohol. Gets better after some sips as the floury & hayish tones step a bit aside. Unfortunately the booze doesn’t.

(Keg at Ølhus København as Rhum Belgo, 20141211) The beer poured brown. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had sweetness, vanilla, rum and malts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, rum, chocolate, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, malty and bitter. A brew that hides its abv very well. Too sweet for my taste but still well done.

Bottled@SBWF2014. Deep ambery copper colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, resiny, some sweet ripe fruits, mild plum, sweet malts and some slight leathery and yeasty notes. Flavour is quite similar, but has a nice lingering touch of alcohol pushing the beer forward.

Sample at SBWF 2014. Clear amber with no head. Sweet with alcohol, some dried fruit, caramel and some brandy. I guess that this one might be better with some age.
