Cloudy brown smooth light brown head. Aroma is toffee roasted malts faint bitter hippy aroma. Flavor is roasted malts sweet licorice bitter caramel. In a way quite mild although a lot of flavor

Bottle 50 cl. Pours areddish brownwith a lacing yellowish/beige head. The nose has some greasy, sweaty (British?) hops - no real licorice. Medium body, sweet malts, chewy and syrupy with a very subtle late note of licorice. Like in a cough syrup or such. Not unpleasant, but the medicinal character gets somewhat dominant. 160715

Bottle@yesprs - amber pour with thin white head. Aroma and taste is very sweet malty, with some caramel, herbal hoppy notes, some vej, very sweet overall.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty, caramelish and light breadish. Sweet malty, caramelish and toasted. Lingering sweet finish. Mild liqourice.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Ørbæk Lakrids Kongen ].Clear medium to dark orange amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wood - sweet wood, light sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, licorice - wood - licorice wood, caramel, malt, fruity, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to lively. [20150401]

Aroma: fruity hops and a sweet licorice. Flavour: sweet nutty caramel and notes of licorice. A floral aftertaste. Colour: reddish brown with an offwhite head.

50 cl. bottle. Dark amber colour with a big, fluffy off-white head. Spiced aroma with caramel, hay, toasted notes and licorice. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a soft carbonation and a soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with licorice. A bit heavy on the licorice. I was warned on the label. Still a decent spiced beer.
