A tribute to the rich history of German black lager production with our own twist, Feldberg incorporates experimental hops characterized by gentle coconut and oak notes. Featured aromas include rich cocoa powder, Vienna roast coffee and dark bread. Flavors accentuate notes of mocha, toffee and oaky coconut around the periphery, with crisp bitterness.

Can to lager glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two finger eggshell white foamy head, sliding lace
Aroma: dark bready malts, strong German yeasty earthiness, some spice from the yeast
Flavor: roasty, toasty and semi-sweet; quick aftertaste of roast, tosst and earrhiness
Texture: light to medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Dry bready finish
Overall, I'd say a nicely done dark lager worthy of rerurning to.

16oz can pours a translucent, root beer brown with ruby edges and a thick cap of beige head. Nose has specialty malts, roasted grain, a little cheap coffee, some roasted almond. The almond is greater in the mouth, a little chewy pumpernickel, some cacao nib or carob. Dry finish, bitter from the roast. Solidly made and crazy drinkable.

Pours deep, clear, dark mahogany into a shaker. Mocha head with good retention recedes to hug rim. Cocoa, pit fruit and clove aromas. Soft with cocoa, clove and licorice upfront turning to dry earthy pumpernickel and dusty cocoa in the medium length finish.
