(Bottle) Dark brown colour with brief, bubbly head. Malty, vinous nose with caramel, treacle-toffee, wood, dried apricots, butterscotch, vanilla, chocolate and hints of bourbon. Malty, vinous taste with notes of caramel, dark bread, dried fruit (apricots, raisins, prunes), wood, vanilla, toffee, liquorice, nuts, hints of bourbon and a vinous finish with fairly low bitterness. Almost full body, quite sweet. Fairly powerful, vinous and sweet, but very tasty and quite harmonious. Very nice.

Bottle from Systembolaget, bought in September 2013. Clear amber with a small medium tan head. Aroma of malt, bourbon, caramel and some alcohol. Taste of caramel, bourbon, light vanilla, dried fruit and malt. Sweetish with a full body. Some warming alcohol in the finish. I still have one bottle left, I wonder if it will improve even more with further aging?

Taste is medium bitter with alcohol notes, malt, caramell, marzipan, bourbon. Medium to big body, low carbo, smooth, sticky texture. Soft mouthfeel, love this.

Medium to smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness.Perhaps not very complex and much to write in many words, but damn it was a very tasty beer that I enjoyed a lot!

On tap at Apex, pours an opaque dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts and caramel malts. Flavour is big and boozy, with caramel malts, bourbon barrels and boozy. Big, boozy and sweet, but well-designed. A little abrasive and sweet, but I think it works well.
